"Way, way back many centuries ago, not long after the bible began…"

So begins the rocking rendition of the biblical saga of joseph and his coat of many colors.

Joseph is a boy blessed with prophetic dreams, and is the favorite son of his father, jacob.   This drives his many jealous brothers to sell him into slavery.  Joseph is taken to egypt, where he endures a series of adventures in which his spirit and humanity are continually challenged.

Joseph's gift of interpreting dreams becomes his salvation.

Set to an amazing range of musical styles, from country-western and calypso to bubble-gum pop and rock 'n' roll, this old testament tale emerges as both timely and timeless.

Artistic Director's Notes

Way, way, back many months ago...20 people came together with the dream of creating a non-profit theater company dedicated to strict ideals of work ethic, self-discipline, respect and volunteerism. We also assert that these ideals can be realized while having fun.
We were driven by the belief that the collaborative art form of theater offers one much to learn. The process we undertake for a production requires teamwork, respect for self and tolerance of others, communication, humility and a host of other skills that can benefit the individual in mind, body and spirit. We believe that an individual who embodies these traits contributes positively to the community at large. ~
In JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT, Joseph has the gift of dream interpretation.

He has some strange dreams. Although he is certain there is some relationship between the dreams and himself, the dreams may mean something bigger than he can fully comprehend. Joseph runs into obstacles and loses hope in his dreams, only to be reminded that he will make it someday. His faith, determination and encouragement from others revitalize him to follow his dreams.

Just as Joseph finally realizes his dreams, the small group of people who collaborated to create Pied Piper Players, Inc. is realizing theirs. The contributions and kindness of the family members in our show and in our community of the northern peninsula have catapulted us over some seemingly insurmountable obstacles.

"...only goes to show-ah, anyone from anywhere can make it if they get a lucky break!!"

Thank you for joining us for our debut production.
