3. From the Playbill Committee
Hi Everyone,
Please consider placing an ad in the upcoming Lucky Duck playbill. Approximately 2,000 people see the playbill. It’s a great way to advertise a business or other service. It’s also a great way to congratulate cast members and staff for all their amazing work!

Starting at the next rehearsal we will have a poster board up with examples of various ads from different shows. Please take a moment to look at them.

Attached are the forms for ad sales with costs, examples of sizes and where to submit the info to.

The Deadline is March 14th, please try and get them in ahead of time. We will design the ad for free (thank you Susan!) if you let us know and pay by March 10th. Please tell us ad size, what you want to say and a description of the design you’d like. After March 10th there will be a $20 design fee.

Please contact me with any questions about ads. All monies raised go to support the cost of the production.

Thanks!

Davida Talcove Ad Sales

4. Kudos - deadline - March 15 (new date!)
- a note below from the KUDOS department

Dear Parents and Cast Members!
Please note that the KUDOS deadline has been moved UP to March 15th.

A KUDO is a one-line greeting in the playbill. You can send kudos to your cast member or your cast member can send greetings to his/her friends or the staff.

I prefer to receive the kudos by e-mail – just type them on the body of the email or attach a word document. Please don’t type them onto the form, start with a blank word document. You can also hand them in at rehearsal OR fax them to 650-577-0744.

Please read the attached form carefully, if you have ANY questions or need ANY help, please let me know. Don’t forget to attach payment if necessary!

Thanks!

WHAT IS A CAST BIO?
A cast bio is a short paragraph about each cast member. It is written in the third person. It usually includes name, age, current role, performance history and personal information. Example:
John Rodriguez is 10 years old and plays the part of Schoolboy Sam. This is his third time on stage. Previous productions include Peter Pan (Lost Boy) and Oliver! (member of Fagin’s gang). John is in 5th grade at Sunny Brook Farms Elementary School. When he is not on stage he enjoys playing the trumpet, reading science fiction, and riding his skateboard. John thanks his parents and family for their support during this production.

WHY DO YOU WANT IT?
Your cast bio will be attached to your headshot photo. They will be displayed in the theater lobby during the performances for the audience to read and enjoy.

HOW DO I SUMBIT MY BIO?
Please e-mail your bio to bios @ piedpiperplayers.org

2/20/2008 - Lucky Duck Cluck #3

Hello Lucky Duck cast members and parents!
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Paula
678-7665

1. From the Lucky Duck's Publicity Team
(Debi Birger, Lauren Boro, Mia Chun, Debbie Kurzrock, Jodie Schmeltz and Wendi Upchurch)

Cast members and families -- do all of your friends and family know the dates of the show yet (April 11 - 20th)?
Have you submitted your family publicity survey yet by e-mail or hard copy?
Do you mention the show to everyone you meet at PTA meetings, at work, or at the grocery store?

If your answer to all of these was YES -- you made our day (and yours too -- there is NOTHING like perfoming to a full house!) If not, please start talking up the show now! We will send you sample e-mails to send out soon, as well as a cool e-postcard. But, it is never, ever too early to get people to mark the show on their busy calendars!
Also, mark your calendars for the weekend of March 15 and 16th for our Lucky Duck publicity weekend-- we need all families to put our awesome posters (wait until you see them!) up all over town. If you have a preference for which towns to paper on March 15 or 16th, please send Mia Chun an e-mail at mia_chun@yahoo.com -- we would like teams of 2 or 3 to put posters all over Burlingame, San Mateo/FC, Redwood Shores/City, San Bruno, Millbrae, Belmont and San Carlos. Thanks!
